40aee-black_top_smallMichelle Ponto is a writer and journalist who not only enjoys life on her own, but has made a career of it. In the last 15 years, she has lived in numerous different cities across the U.S. , Canada, Europe and the Middle East where she has ventured out on her own to make friends, gather contacts and embrace her new surroundings.

Early in her career, her love of checking out the happenings of each city took her to Houston where she became KHOU’s Girl About Town. In this role, she covered everything from restaurants and bars, to concerts, adventure sports and local events.

Over the years, Michelle Ponto has written for a number of magazines and media companies, including Discovery Channel, The New York Times, CBS News, ABC News, Advantage Steel Magazine, Motley Fool and Harlequin. She has interviewed people from all walks of life including award-winning chefs and sports heroes, to doctors and celebrities like Beyonce and Gloria Gaynor. She is also the co-writer of a fitness book called “Buff Dad” that came out in 2008 and her latest book, “Go Solo: How to have fun without the plus one” was released in 2017.

Michelle Ponto is an accomplished writer and journalist. She was nominated for an Emmy for her work and has been the keynote speaker for many organizations. She has also appeared as a guest on numerous news shows including Breakfast Television in Toronto, Sacramento and Company and Fox’s Morning Blend in Cape Coral.
